Finance Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Analyst to join our dynamic Accounting & Finance team in Melbourne, Australia. This full-time, hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to critical financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities within a fast-paced and evolving organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of financial principles, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.

As a Finance Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in budget management, forecasting, and performance analysis. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting financial modeling and analysis to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
• Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, monitoring variances, and providing commentary.
• Preparing comprehensive financial reports for internal stakeholders, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow analysis.
• Analyzing financial trends, identifying key performance indicators (KPIs), and highlighting risks and opportunities.
• Collaborating with various departments to gather financial data and ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Supporting month-end and year-end closing processes as required.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in a finance analyst or similar analytical role.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) is essential.
• Experience with financial planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
• CPA or CFA candidacy/qualification is a plus.
