We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dubai, UAE. This hybrid role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of our critical IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a strong background in networking, virtualization, and cloud technologies, passionate about building robust, scalable, and secure systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage enterprise-grade network infrastructure (LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs) with a focus on Cisco and FortiGate technologies.
- Administer and optimize virtualized environments using VMware vSphere, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Oversee and enhance our cloud infrastructure on platforms like Microsoft Azure or AWS, including IaaS, PaaS, and security best practices.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (e.g., Python, PowerShell) to streamline operational tasks and improve efficiency.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement solutions to prevent recurrence, ensuring maximum uptime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define infrastructure requirements, propose solutions, and support project delivery.
- Ensure adherence to security policies, compliance standards, and best practices across all infrastructure components.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in an infrastructure engineering role.
- Expertise in network administration, including routing, switching, firewalls (Cisco, FortiGate).
- Strong proficiency in VMware virtualization technologies.
- Proven experience with public cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and related services.
- Solid understanding of Windows and Linux server operating systems.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Ansible).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA/P, VCP, Azure Administrator Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with fluency in English.
