We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Part-Time Cloud Engineer to join our innovative team in Zurich. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to balance remote work with on-site collaboration, contributing to the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable and secure cloud infrastructure. As a key contributor, you will play a crucial role in optimizing our cloud environment, ensuring robust performance and cost efficiency for our critical systems.
Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure primarily on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (e.g., Python, Bash) to streamline operational tasks and enhance system reliability.
- Monitor cloud environments for performance, security, and cost, implementing proactive measures and troubleshooting issues.
- Collaborate closely with development and operations teams to integrate cloud solutions and best practices into the software development lifecycle.
- Ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance standards within the cloud infrastructure.
- Participate in on-call rotations for critical incident response as required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a Cloud Engineer or similar role with a strong focus on one or more major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, security principles, data storage solutions, and serverless architectures.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Availability to work part-time (e.g., 20-25 hours per week) and commute to our Zurich office for hybrid collaboration.
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator Associate) are a plus.
