We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team in Zurich, Switzerland. In this role, you will be responsible for a wide array of infrastructure initiatives. Your primary duties will include:
- Designing, deploying, and managing scalable infrastructure solutions across on-premise and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Ensuring the high availability, performance, and security of network, server, and storage systems.
- Developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and Ansible for automation and consistency.
- Implementing and overseeing monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Collaborating with development teams to integrate new applications and services into the existing infrastructure.
- Participating in on-call rotations and troubleshooting complex technical problems as they arise.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of infrastructure processes and best practices.
To be successful in this position, you should possess a strong technical background and proven experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in an Infrastructure Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role.
- Expertise in administering and troubleshooting Linux and Windows Server operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Firewalls, Load Balancers).
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Proficiency with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware vSphere, KVM).
- Experience with automation and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills in English; German language skills are a significant advantage.
