We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Audit Associate to join our dynamic Accounting & Finance team in Dublin, Ireland. This is a full-time, hybrid position offering a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 130,000 per year. As an Audit Associate, you will play a crucial role in conducting financial statement audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and executing audit engagements from start to finish, including risk assessment and control testing.
- Perform detailed analytical procedures and substantive testing on financial statement accounts.
- Prepare comprehensive audit documentation, working papers, and reports in accordance with professional standards.
- Interact directly with client personnel to gather information, clarify data, and communicate audit findings.
- Identify and communicate accounting and auditing issues to senior team members and management.
- Participate in the preparation of financial statements and related disclosures.
- Stay current with industry trends, accounting pronouncements (e.g., IFRS, GAAP), and regulatory changes.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in external audit or a related accounting role; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP) and auditing standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with audit software is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Working towards or willingness to pursue a professional accounting designation (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA) is highly desirable.
