We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Remote Systems Administrator to join our growing global team. Based remotely in Dublin, Ireland, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our IT infrastructure. Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues across various operating systems (Linux and Windows Server environments).
- Provide technical support and resolve escalated issues for end-users and internal teams.
- Implement and maintain system security policies, backup procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Perform regular system updates, patching, and hardware/software installations.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) to improve efficiency.
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical incidents as needed.
What We're Looking For:
- 1-3 years of proven experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar IT support role.
- Strong proficiency with Linux distributions (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS) and Windows Server operating systems.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-centric approach.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Linux+, MCSA) are desirable.
