We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Part-Time Remote R&D Engineer to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on emerging technologies and scientific principles relevant to our strategic objectives.
- Design, develop, and prototype innovative solutions, algorithms, or systems, from initial concept through to proof-of-concept.
- Perform rigorous testing, data collection, and analysis to validate research hypotheses and system performance.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product development, engineering, and scientific research groups.
- Document research findings, technical specifications, and project progress comprehensively, contributing to intellectual property development.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and academic advancements to identify new opportunities and threats.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Materials Science, or a closely related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Research & Development, with a strong portfolio of innovative projects or publications.
- Proven expertise in at least one of the following areas: advanced algorithm development, embedded systems, robotics, AI/Machine Learning, photonics, or novel materials.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, Java, or MATLAB for simulation, data analysis, and prototyping.
- Familiarity with simulation and modeling tools (e.g., ANSYS, SolidWorks, Simulink).
- Exceptional problem-solving capabilities, analytical thinking, and a creative approach to technical challenges.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage project timelines effectively in a remote work setting.
