We are seeking a highly analytical and passionate Data Scientist to join our dynamic Data & Analytics team in New York, NY, USA. This is a Full Time, Onsite position where you will play a crucial role in extracting insights from complex datasets, building predictive models, and informing strategic decisions across various facets of our operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in statistical modeling, machine learning, and programming, with a keen ability to translate data into actionable business recommendations. The salary for this role ranges from USD 70,000 – 95,000 / year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, validate, and implement statistical models and machine learning algorithms to solve complex business problems.
- Analyze large, messy datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, providing clear and concise insights to stakeholders.
- Design and execute A/B tests and other experimental designs to measure the impact of new features, products, or strategies.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other cross-functional teams to define data requirements and integrate analytical solutions.
- Communicate complex analytical findings and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences through presentations and reports.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in data science and machine learning.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Scientist or in a similar analytical role.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, including relevant data science libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Expertise in SQL for data extraction and manipulation from various databases.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, Seaborn).
- Demonstrated ability to perform statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and predictive modeling.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
