Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain Windows Server and Linux-based operating systems, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Manage and troubleshoot virtualized environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud infrastructure (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS).
- Monitor system health, security, and performance, responding to alerts and resolving issues promptly.
- Implement and manage network devices, firewalls, and security protocols to safeguard data and infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including configurations, processes, and disaster recovery plans.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting languages like PowerShell or Python.
- Collaborate with development and support teams to deploy new applications and services efficiently.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in systems administration, with a strong focus on both Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Proficiency in virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls).
- Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation.
- Knowledge of IT security best practices and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
