We are seeking a talented and motivated API Developer to join our dynamic Software Engineering team in Seoul, South Korea. In this full-time, onsite role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable APIs that power our innovative products and services. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs using modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js).
- Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define API requirements and specifications.
- Ensure API performance, security, and scalability through rigorous testing and optimization.
- Write comprehensive API documentation for internal and external consumers.
- Participate in code reviews, contribute to architectural discussions, and promote best practices in API development.
- Troubleshoot and debug API issues, providing timely resolutions and support.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of professional experience in back-end development with a strong focus on API creation.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, Node.js, Go).
- Solid understanding of RESTful principles, API design patterns, and authentication/authorization mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT).
- Experience with database technologies (SQL and/or NoSQL) and ORM frameworks.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Fluency in English; Korean language skills are a plus.
