We are actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic and growing remote team. Although this is a fully remote position, we are specifically looking for candidates based in Barcelona, Spain, to foster closer collaboration within a key operational timezone. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure that underpins our cutting-edge products and services. You will contribute to shaping our technical landscape, ensuring reliability and performance for our global user base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage our cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS, with some GCP/Azure exposure) leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery and ensure automated, reliable deployments.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimize infrastructure for maximum uptime and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (e.g., Python, Bash) to reduce manual effort and improve operational consistency.
- Ensure robust security practices are integrated into all infrastructure components, including network segmentation, access control, and vulnerability management.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand application requirements and provide infrastructure solutions that meet performance and scalability needs.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional experience in an Infrastructure, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering role.
- Strong expertise with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP); AWS certifications are a plus.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Bash for automation.
- Demonstrable experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, Load Balancing) and security best practices.
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) and log management systems (e.g., ELK Stack, Splunk).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and strong communication skills in English.
