We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Analytics Engineer to join our dynamic Data & Analytics team in Mexico City. As an Analytics Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing, building, and maintaining robust data models and pipelines, bridging the gap between data warehousing and business intelligence. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data models using dbt (data build tool) within our cloud data warehouse.
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes to ensure data quality, reliability, and accessibility for various stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with data scientists, business analysts, and software engineers to understand data requirements and deliver analytical solutions.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data models, pipelines, and key metrics.
- Implement best practices for data governance, data quality, and data security.
- Support the development of dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools, translating complex data into clear, understandable visualizations.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- 3+ years of experience in an Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or similar role.
- Expert proficiency in SQL for data manipulation, analysis, and optimization.
- Strong experience with data modeling techniques (e.g., Kimball, Inmon) and data warehouse concepts.
- Hands-on experience with dbt (data build tool) for data transformation and orchestration.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python) for data processing and automation.
- Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Google BigQuery, or Amazon Redshift.
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools like Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills in English and Spanish, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
